PURPOSE:To make the manufacture of an optical connector which is simple in construction, does not require centering, is stable against mechanical impact and is highly accurate easy and sure by incorporating a capillary tube of brittle sintered material for guiding an optical fiber into a metal collar thereby forming the plug.
