发明名称 PRODUCTION OF PILLINGGRESISTANT POLYESTER FIBER
摘要 PURPOSE:A polyester containing a powder of specific particle diameter is melt spun and the fibers are cracked on the surface under specific conditions, then drawn and treated with an alkali, thus producing fibers having high pilling resistance, creaky touch, scroop and dull appearance. CONSTITUTION:A polyester (preferably containing more than 85% ethylene terephthalate unit) containing 0.5-10wt% podwer of 1-500, preferably 10-100mmu in diameter (preferably aqueous sol of colloidal silica) alone is melt spun or the polymer is conjugate spun with another polymer so that this polyester will cover more than 30% of the fiber surface. The resulting fibers are heat treated at a temperature lower than the secondary transition point, preferably at 10-50 deg.C under a tension of 50-95% primary yielding stress until cracks are formed on the fiber surface, preferably within 60sec. The fibers, further, are drawn and treated with an alkaline liquid so as to reduce the weight by more than 0.1wt%. The fibers are recommended to be stood for at least 3hr at a temperature lower than the secondary transition point during the period before the treatment under a tension.
