PURPOSE:To obtain a fluorescent film for economical colour TV set, that film has high luminance brightness and improved current saturation characteristic, by laminating a Tb-activated bluish green colour luminescent containing Tb in a rather smaller concentration on a green colour luminescent fluorescent layer of ZnS system. CONSTITUTION:A green colour luminescent fluorescent layer 18 of ZnS system is formed on the inner surface of a face plate 17 of a cathode-ray tube for colour TV set by using either one of ZnS/Cu, Al; ZnCdS/Cu, Al; and ZnS/Au, Cu, Al. A Tb-activated fluorescent layer 19 is formed thereon (the electronic beam side), by using either Gd2O2S/Tb in which Tb is contained in an amount below 0.8mol% or Y2O2S/Tb in which Tb is contained in an amount below 1mol%. Furthermore, an aluminium layer 20 is formed thereon. The weight of the fluorescent substance used to form the layer 19 should be kept equal to or below that used to build the layer 18. |
