Properties: amphoteric dark red powder; melting point: 198-215 deg.C; elemental analysis values: C 59.9%, H 5.4%, N 2.3%. Antibiotic FA-1180 C(as a hydrochloric acid salt). Properties: amphoteric red powder; melting point: 184-187 deg.C; elemental analysis values: C 57.1%, H 5.1%, N 2.6%, and their salts. USE:An antibacterial agent and carcinostatic. Extremely effective against various kinds of Gram-positive bacteria.
