SHAFT SEALING DEVICE WITH BALL-BEARING USING MAGNETIC LIQUID

PURPOSE: To improve lasting quality of sealing action by providing a plurality of annular permanent magnet disk devices spaced apart to an axis direction to support a magnetic liquid between the axes and to dispose a ball bearing device between adjacent disk devices. CONSTITUTION: Annular permanent magnet disks 13 are disposed spaced apart at both sides of ball bearings 19 and are fixedly assembled to a housing 15 by adhesive sealing agent 18. A shaft 17 rotatably fixed through the ball bearings 19 to the housing 15 is inserted penetrated to openings 16 of the annular permanent magnet disks 13. Magnetic liquids 14 are supported in a space between an inner peripheral surface of the opening 16 of the disk 13 and an external peripheral surface of the shaft 17 by closed loop magnetic field to form leak-proof sealing. Thus minimization of a shaft sealing device is designed and a preferable sealing action can be maintained for a long time.
