NEW MATERIAL:Perfluorobicycloethers of formula I (Rf1 is F, CF3, C2F5; Rf2 is perfluoroalkyl of 1-3 carbon atoms). EXAMPLE:Perfluoro(8-methoxy-7-oxabicyclo[4.3.0]nonane. USE:Colorless, thermally and chemically stable inert solvent and artificial blood useful in the life acience field. PREPARATION:The electrolytic fluorination of a compound of formula II (R1 is H, methyl, ethyl; R2 is 1-3C alkyl) with hydrogen fluoride is conducted in a usual electrolysis tank usually at a current density of 2.0-5.0A/dm<2>, bath temperature of 3-8 deg.C. The electrolysis is continued, when it is operated batchwise, untile the voltage rises up to at least 8V and the compound of formula I is isolated from the reaction mixture. The amount of the compound of formula II is preferably 0.1- 0.3mol/l of hydrofluoride. |
