PURPOSE:To generate a digital periodic waveform signal with simple hardware by supplying the standard of a digital waveform as a signal regarding time by previously converting amplitude information on an analog waveform into time information. CONSTITUTION:Sampling signal S of period T that determines the coding timing of a digital periodic waveform is applied to the 1st converting circuit 31, which compresses respective periods A1,A2... to the 1st period A1 or less. From S-KA<=A, K is found and what is the order of period of an analog signal with regard to signal S is devided, thereby limiting signal S within period A1. Next, the 2nd converting circuit 32 generates side bit MSB and divides it into periods from output level A1/4 to 4A1/4 and the 3rd converting circuit 33 converts signal S into a finite signal between 0 and A/4. Then, time information on the time axis of signal S and position information on each equal dividing point from ROM35 are compared by comparator 34-1 and one digital periodic waveform signal is outputted from register 34-2. |
