PURPOSE:To extended the life of bearing oil with a greater cooling effect through a clearance provided between the inner wall of a rotating shaft and a small diameter heat pipe formed at a portion other than those corresponding to the rotor and a cooling fan, when a heat pipe is buried into the rotating shaft. CONSTITUTION:In the heat pipe 3 to be buried into the rotating shaft 1, only a rotor contact section 3a corresponding to the rotor 5 and a fan contact section 3b corresponding to a fan 9 closely adhere to the inner wall of the shaft 1. The remaining intermediate section 3c is formed in a small diameter to give a clearance between the section and the inner wall of the rotating shaft 1. In this manner, the intermediate section 3c shuts a refrigerant evaporating section 3a from a refrigerant condensing section 3b in the heat pipe 3 thereby improving the cooling effect. A bearing 8 positioned on the intermediate section 3c is free from heating thereby reducing deterioration in the bearing oil. |
