PURPOSE:To improve a sensitivity of deflection and intensity of a tube, by successively arranging the first-the third tubular electrodes from the side of a deflecting electrode and setting a potential of the second electrode lower than that of the first and third electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Between an electrostatic deflecting electrode 15 and fluorescent screen 16 the first-the third tubular electrodes 17-19 which constitute a rear stage accelerating electrode group are arranged. Of these first-third tubular electrodes 17-19, a potential of the first electrode 17 nearest the deflecting electrode 15 is set to almost identical to a mean potential of deflecting electrodes 14, 15, while a potential of the third electrode 19 nearest the fluorescent screen 16 to equal to a potential of the fluorescent screen and a potential of the second electrode 18 intermediately located is set to a potential lower than that of the first and third electrodes 17, 19. In this way, a sensitivity of deflection and intensity can be increased without enlarging the accelerating electrode in diameter and its envelope in overall length. |
