PURPOSE:To improve the purity and overall picture quality of a cathode-ray tube, by lining a dot arrangement of a shadow mask in the direction of beam arrangement distorted by the curved face characteristic of a panel. CONSTITUTION:In an arrangement direction B of electron beams 3r, 3g, 3b in each point of a raster produced by the curved face characteristic of a panel and three inline electron beams in the corner part of a picture face, mask holes 1 are aligned to constitute a shadow mask 6. By the angle corresponding to an arrangement distortion angle theta of the electron beam, an arrangement direction (x) of the punched holes 1 is sloped with respect to the long axis direction X of the shadow mask to construct the shadow mask 6. In this way, a purity characteristic of a cathode-ray tube can be widely improved, and a high resolution and life characteristic can be improved. |
