PURPOSE:To improve the superconductive property by mixing an activated carbon powder to which plenty of O2 is absorbed to several kinds of powders including elements to compose an oxide type compound superconductor, filling the mixture in a metal pipe to make into a wire material, and heat-treating the resultant wire material in O2. CONSTITUTION:One of oxide powder including Y, Er, Dy, Sm, Gd, Ho, Nd, Yb, Tm, or Lu, one of powder of BaCO3 or BaO, and CuO powder are mixed, and moreover, an activated carbon powder including plenty of O2 is mixed 0.5 to 5wt.%. The particle diameter of the powder is made less than 1mum. The mixture is filled in a steel pipe and sealed, and then forged and wiredrawn to make a wire material with the form of a desired electric circuit element. Then, by applying a heat treatment at 850 to 950 deg.C for 24 hours or more, the O2 absorbed in the activated carbon is released to promote the production of the compound superconductor, and an oxide type compound superconductive wire with a critical temperature of the liquid nitrogen temperature or higher, and a high critical current density can be obtained. |
