<p>The double acting platform leg hoist has geared racks (4,5) attached to a platform leg (3) and pinions (6,7) mounted in carriers which hold integral primary reduction gears (20,21,22, 23). These are perpendicular to the platform leg (3). The pinion carriers are held together by two stays (30.31). The pinion centre distance is adjusted by pivot arms (34,35,37,38), and shock absorbers (36,39) ensure a smooth operation. The primary gears (20,21,22,23) are driven through universal joints (24,25,26,27) by geared brake motors (28,29). The pinion carriers are solidly connected to the platform (1) by tie rods.</p> |
