<p>The internal combustion engine (11) which uses alcohol as fuel, is fitted with a fuel evaporator (4) which supplies fuel vapour through pipe (7) to an air mixing device (8). The air/fuel mixture is then led via throttle (10) to the engine (11). The cooling water circuit (12) includes an exhaust gas heat exchanger (18), an air preheater (23), a radiator (15) and also supplies heat to the fuel evaporator (4). There is an auxiliary water circuit (25) containing an alcohol-fired heater (27). Thermostatic valves are arranged in the water circuits to give the most advantageous thermal conditions for the various phases of cold starting and running of the engine.</p> |
