PURPOSE:Titled ink in which the amount of dissolved gases is lowered thereby facilitating ink ejection, prepared by adding a small amount of dithionous acid, a sulfide or a water-soluble salt thereof as an oxygen absorber to an ink consisting mainly of water, an alcohol and a water-soluble dye. CONSTITUTION:An ink for jet printing prepared by mixing about 5-40wt% of an alcohol such as a polyhydric alcohol such as ethylene glycol or polyethylene glycol, about 0.1-10wt% of a water-soluble dye such as C.I. Acid Blue 9 or C.I. Acid Yellow 1, about 0.1-4wt% of oxygen absorber consisting of dithionous acid, a sulfide or a water-soluble salt thereof, such as Na2S2O4 or Na2S and the balance of water, and adjusting the resulting mixture to a viscosity of below about 5 cps and a surface tension of about 40-60 dyne/cm. |
