The re-education frame for walking has an endless mat (6) mounted on a frame (1) and moved round two horizontal drums (2,4) at each end. The frame has a flat platform (15) immediately under the upper surface (14) of the mat, with a carrier roller (18) in the centre. This projects just above the platform and is placed transversely to the direction of movement of the mat. The frame is supported on two bars (19) which can pivot around an axle (29) on the base (23). The inclination of the frame with regard to the base can be adjusted by a motor (24) and chain (27).
