PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the photoreceptor, by detecting whether the rotational speed of the pressure fixing roller which gives the pressure to the toner image supporting component is slower than the fixed speed or zero. CONSTITUTION:The pressure fixing roller pairs 8 and 9 are provided, and furthermore this roller pair and the photosensitive drum 1 are driven by the same motor 2. And the detecting means consisting of the light source 13 and the photodetector 14 detects whether the roller pairs 8 and 9 which give the pressure to the toner supporting component have the rolational speed higher than the fixed speed or the zero speed. Then based on the detection signal, the corona discharge given from the corona discharger 6 to be supplied to the drum 1 is stopped by the command to be given to the high-voltage generating device 7 via the counter 15 and the comparator 17. As a result, the surface potential of the drum 1 can be prevented from becoming extraordinarily high or low or affecting negatively the photoreceptor. |
