The self-locking feed grille has fixed grille elements and flap tubes which can be actuated by the animal, pressing against the bottom tube section from an open into a closed position. The flap tubes (9) are hinged to a displacement grille (6-8) which can be moved parallel to the fixed grille elements (1-4). The displacement grille preferably has a top U-rail which lies on the top horizontal tube (4) of the fixed grille. It can be moved by a crank drive (19) through a pivot lever (21).
