Raising device for filament yarn - has pinned roller rotating in contact with surface of unwinding cheese

A device for raising the surface of a flat, filament yarn consists of a raising roller, pref. having a pinned surface which rotates in contact with the surface of an unwinding cheese. The raising may be performed concurrently with any re-winding process. The process is easier to control when performed in this manner than by operating on a single yarn, the treatment of the yarn is less harsh and is less liable to produce excessive yarn breakage.
