<p>The extrusion-press has a table on which the extruded section is received from the press. It is picked up by the gripper head of a carriage, which is movable alongside the table. The carriage is driven by a linear motor whose primary element is a dual inductor on the carriage arranged to either side of a fixed rail as secondary element. The carriage may run on a ball bush slide bearing alongside the table. The head may have a number of swivel fingers to hold the extruded section and a limit switch to start its movement.</p> |
