<p>A compact scanner for a photocopier has reflex optics using a mirror lens (25) near the photosensitive drum (8) and a fixed mirror (35) at the far top end of the copier, out of the way of the reciprocating drive. The final part of the scan path is from the mirror lens to the fixed mirror and back to the drum. A moving mirror (34) reflects the image from the scanning mirror (3) to the reflecting optics with the relative speeds of the mirror and scanner adjusted to maintain a set focal length.</p> |
