<p>The force measurement ring is applicable to a relatively low measurement range and is provided with a high degree of overload protection. The inner stabilising ring (1) has edge supports (9) forming an annulus and approximately centrally positioned overload protection ribs (2). The ribs have gaps enabling the symmetrical positioning of radial strain gauges. The edge support ribs (9) are welded together (8). When the measurement range is exceeded by the applied zone the overload ribs (2) come into contact with each other. Compensation strain gauges are positioned between the edge support and overload rib and are equally spaced about the circle. The measurement ring assembly (1,4,6) is held together by screws or clamps.</p> |
