Engine- and heating-fuels - contg. water dispersed by a mixt. of emulsifiers and cyclohexanol

Fuels for internal combustion engines and heating oils are claimed, contg. solubilised water (which is claimed separately). Fuel compsn. (wt.%) is: liq. hydrocarbon, 70-92.9 (pref. 77-87.9); water, 5-15 (pref. 8-12); a water-soluble non-ionic emulsifier with a turbidity temp. of 25-60 deg.C in NaCl soln. (DIN 53917), 1-5 (pref. 2-3); an oil-soluble non-ionic emulsifier with a turbidity temp. above 70 deg.C in butyldiglycol (DIN 53917), 1-5 (pref. 2-3); cyclohexanol or methylcyclohexanol, 0.05-10 (pref. 0.1-5). Fuels are optically clear, and the water remains solubilised indefinitely. Internal combustion fuels have superior anti-knock properties and exhaust gas. The heating fuels have superior efficiency and exhaust gas quality.
