A covering grating of this type has longitudinal load-bearing members (4) fastened on traverse load-bearing members (1). The longitudinal load-bearing members (4) are provided, along their lower surface, with fastening ribs (8) which are widened at the bottom and have been pushed into correspondingly shaped cutouts (2) in the transverse load-bearing members (1). Undesired bending of the longitudinal load-bearing members (4) is thus largely done away with. Worn longitudinal load-bearing members (4) can easily be exchanged. <IMAGE>
