Adaptable mine striding support system - has one or both side-pieces optionally coupled to guide rod or sliding rail

The striding support system is esp. for shield or block support in a mine. A conveyor and/or mineral-extracting unit in front is advanced by a guide-rod-linkage system. There are two parallel striding cylinders which engage floor strides on the support unit, having guiding sidepieces led in sliding rails on these. One of the two guiding sidepieces (25) is coupled to the guide-rod system (19), and the other is optionally coupled to this, or to the sliding rail (26) for the sidepiece concerned. Pref. both may be optionally and detachably coupled in this way, pref. using a rapid coupling of the plug-bolt type (34). This can be used for striding independently of a conveyor, with the adjacent support unit serving as striding abutment.
