The cable transport wagon is used in a mine for looped guiding and stretching of a power supply cable and/or water pipe for a mineral-extracting machine. A suitably grooved deflecting roller protrudes into the side piece opening into the face side, at an interval from the vertical side piece walling corresponding to cable or pipe radius. The roller is fitted with a guiding device, acting only on the cable or pipe section on the face side. This guides the running-out cable or pipe section into the sidepiece, where it holds it in its vertical deposit position. This can operate in low spaces to lay pipes or cables protected along their whole length.
