PURPOSE:To simplify and stabilize the ink jet by a method wherein a plurality of segment electrodes are provided on a slit plate facing a plurality of needle electrodes, a recording and a control signal are impressed in time series between both kinds of electrodes and recording signal circuits are reduced for common use. CONSTITUTION:The segment electrodes 11a, 11b,... are set on an insulating orifice plate 10, a plurality of needle electrodes 31-35 are provided facing a pair of segment electrodes, for instance, 11a, 11b, control signals S0, S1,... are impressed in time series on two adjacent control electrodes so that an electrical space between the segment electrodes can be ignored. Recording signals are impressed in time series on the needle electrodes 31, 32,... from a recording signal source 20. The voltage of the recording signal is equivalent to that impressed on the needle electrode locating near the center of the respective segment electrode and the signal has a large grad (E)<2> and therefore the simple and stable injection of ink jet particles in obtained. Since the recording signal circuits can be used in common, the circuit composition can be simplified. |
