PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent corrosion-resisting magnetic material, without deteriorating magnetic characteristics, by adding a specific amount of Cu to a ferrite- category stainless steel, and by applying to it an appropriate degree of cold working and precipitation hardening of Cu. CONSTITUTION:An alloy, which is consisting of 7-16wt% of Cr, 1.5-10% of Cu and Fe for remaining portion and also an inevitable inclusion of impurity, is melted by a high-frequency induction furnace, etc., cast, forged at a temperature above 1,000 deg.C, etc. and hot rolled into a sheet. And then, after being solid-solution- treated at a temperature ranging from 1,000-1,150 deg.C, the sheet is cold rolled at a reduction rate ranging from 30-90%, and it is aged in an atmosphere of dry argon, etc. for prevention from oxidation. It is possible, by doing so, to obtain a semihard magnetic material having a coercive force of 15-40 Oe, a residual magnetic flux density of 9,000-10,000 G and an excellent corrosion-resisting properties. |
