Friction drive for sweeping machines - has switchable coupling allowing delayed start of fan and thus lower starting moment for brush roller

The switch-on coupling such as a centrifugal force coupling is provided between the friction drive and the blower of the sweeper machine so that when the machine is started up the fan can at first be switched off and only the brush roller driven. This ensures that the starting moment is considerably reduced owing to the much smaller masses to be accelerated. As soon as the machine is accelerated to a certain speed the blower driven can be switched on without problem since the torque required for driving the brush roller has dropped considerably. Switching on the blower at a later moment is no disadvantage since there is hardly any dust drawn in at the very moment of starting up the machine.
