Seal for pneumatic tap - has double sealing lip to vent line in tap closed setting

The seating assembly is for a pneumatic tap and has a round profiled seal with a semi-floating sealing lip (18) at one end and with a cylindrical seating (12) to fit into the tap housing. The bore through the seal has widened end sections, with the sealing lip end weakened by a groove (21) leaving a second lip (19) facing outwards. The sealing lip slides over the spherical valve element which rotates between the closed to the venting position. The sealed off pipe is vented through the centre of the sealing rings.
