PURPOSE:To obtain a desired magnetizing distribution with simplicity, in the case of conducting forming process of a diameter-wise annular rare earth cobalt magnet in magnetic field, by changing magnetic characteristics of a core rod. CONSTITUTION:A bottom punch 4 is fit into a mortar 1, a powdery material 8 is put into a piercing hole 2 of the mortar 1 in a condition that a core rod 5 is stricking out, and while keeping a condition that electric current is passing through a coil 6, a top punch 3 is lowered for compression forming of the powdery material 8. And by further sintering and processing it, it is possible to obtain an annular power-sintered-type rare earth cobalt magnet having a magnetizing direction in diametrical direction. In this case, by changing magnetic characteristics of the core rod 5, it is possible to control magnetizing distribution of the diameter-wise annular magnet and to obtain a desired magnetizing distribution with simplicity. |
