Electric control circuit for public clock - includes forwards and reverse counters and logic network connected to strike mechanism

The electrical control system is used for large clocks, e.g. church clocks and other public clocks. It is designed to regulate the striking mechanism to strike the hours and the quarters, electrical impulses to actuate the mechanism being produced at the right times. There is a circuit which produces a pulse every minute to control the hands of the clock. There are two divider circuits, controlled by the minute pulses, each of these circuits controls a forwards counter and a reverse counter. The circuit also includes a logic control network connected to a number of logic elements. These are also connections to elements of the clock switching mechanism.
