<p>Sealing structure to be utilized within dispensing closures having polyolefin parts and having a rotating spout. In the past due to manufacturing difficulties, such as shrinkage, rotating closures made from polyolefin tended to leak. The seal of the invention can be created using an edge (40) on an external surface (42) of the cap (12) to engage an end (36) of the spout (14). This edge serves to create a seal. The end (36) of the spout (14) and the external surface (42) adjacent to the edge (40) have related cross-sectional configurations such that in all positions of the spout (14) the end (36) engages the edge (40) in the same manner to form the seal. </p> |
