<p>Plant seeds are coated by applying a coating composition over the entire seed surface, intentionally agglomerating the seeds in a static mass and then breaking up the agglomerated seeds during the time span in which the seeds can be promptly again accumulated without agglomerating and in which said breaking up can be effected without causing the coatings to suffer substantial rupture damage which would occur if said breaking up was delayed closer to the point of final cure of the coating composition. The process is particularly useful in producing seeds coated for purposes of delaying germination.</p> |
