By "sand" milling is meant milling with small beads including sand, glass beads and ceramic beads. In an embodiment alpha metal-free phthalocyanine, a silicone resin, a chlorinated resinous paraffin and an acrylic resin in toluene are milled in sand at 120-180‹F. for 0.2 to 2 hours. The milled composition is coated on a support of paper, plastics, Al or brass to form an electro-photographic element. Comparative examples are given wherein the milling medium is larger diameter steel balls or flint pebbles. |
