PURPOSE:To increase economy and to delete a frame at high speed by optically scanning an original, storing the data of an original area of every line in a memory and controlling the erasion of a latent image according to the stored data. CONSTITUTION:The original G on an original platen 1 made of glass material is optically scanned with an optical system 2 and the latent image is formed on a photosensitive drum 9. Synchronizing with said scanning, the data of the original area of one line is stored in a line memory 13 by means of a lens 10, a CCD 11 and a control processing circuit 12, etc., and based on the stored contents, the laser scanner 14 of an eraser is controlled by a laser scanner driver 15 through the circuit 12 so as to erase the latent image in the area except the area of the original G. As a result, rescanning need not be executed after storing the data concerning the original area in a frame memory by pre- scanning, so that the economy is increased and the frame can be deleted at high speed. |
