PURPOSE:To make O-ring real and purging unnecessary in the gas analyzer in which beam-passing cell and detector are set in series by installing gas inlet at the position where cell beam is not interrupted and by providing openings at least at one of both ends of the cell to provide gas discharge port. CONSTITUTION:In the infrared ray gas analyzer in which light sources 31 and 41, sample cells 32 and 42 and detectors 33 and 43 are set in series, chopper 34 is installed between the cell 32 and detector 33, or chopper 44 is installed between light source 41 and cell 42. Gas inlets 32a and 42a are installed on sample cells 32 and 42 at the position where beam passage is not obstructed, and both ends 42b and 42c of the cell or one end 32b opposite to the chopper are opened to form gas discharge port. By so ding, it becomes unnecessary to prevent outside air from entering the beam passage by means of O-ring seal or purging, thereby, providing a simple and inexpensive device. |
