Guiding cast strands to a cutting station

Continuously cast strands from a common continuous casting machine are directed to a treatment station by a first and second set of rolls. The first set is adjacent the treatment station and at least one of the two rolls is driven. The second set comprises a driven roll and a number of pinch rolls each engaging one cast strand. Specif. the treatment station cuts the strands into lengths and one of the rolls of the first roll set has a rubber coating to prevent shocks, vibrations etc. from affecting the casting operation.
