PURPOSE:To prevent the knocking positively, by producing pulse signals having a pulse number corresponding to the magnitude of knocking, counting the pulse signals by a counter, and affording the count to a computer. CONSTITUTION:The signal S corresponding to the magnitude of engine vibration is given to a signal processing circuit 27, in which pulse signals Sp having a pulse number corresponding to the magnitude of knocking are obtained from the signal S. The pulse signals Sp are counted by a counter 28 and the count is given, at a predetermined timing, to a microcomputer CPU which carries out centralized control for the engine operation. Since, with such an arrangement, ignition timing of the engine can be corrected depending on the above count of the pulse signals and the operational condition of engine, it is enabled to prevent engine knocking positively. |
