<p>PURPOSE:To improve the titled denitrification rate without increasing the consumption of organic carbon source, by introducing dirty water into the denitrification part of the lower part of columnar single vessel and raising to the nitrification part by utilizing generated N2 gas and then passing the nitrification circulating liquid through the middle dissolved oxygen consumption part. CONSTITUTION:The dissolved oxygen consumption part 11 is formed by providing the current plate 12 between the nitrification part 5 made in an aerobic condition by sending the air to the diffuser tube 2 provided on the upper part of the open type treating vessel 1, from the blower 4 and the denitrification part 6 of the lower part of the vessel 1 made in an anaerobic condition. The dirty water 18 is introduced from the dirty water inlet 17 provided on the part 6. The stirrer 8 or the pump 9, is used in order to make the dispersion of the dirty water at an early stage of operation good and also, the dirty water is circulated by the pump 10. When stirring and circulating current by N2 gas generated by the progress of denitrification reaction, is generated, operation of the stirrer 8 and the pumps 9, 10 are stopped. Rapid downflow near the side wall from the part 5 for rising liquid by N2 gas, is prevented by the plate 12 and is caused to stagnate together with the sludge at the part 11 for the necessary time and then, oxygen is consumed. The treating water 19 is discharged from the upper or lower part.</p> |
