<p>The sealing device is used for the mutual seal between concentric parts which are movable axially relative to one another, and comprises a packet-shaped set of rings in a groove of the one part and which have a slot. This part is tensioned against the other part by a spring unit fitted on the base of the ring groove. The slot (12) in the sealing rings (8,9,10,11) is step-shaped. The seal is partic. suitable for fitment in the ring groove of the outer periphery of a piston or the inner periphery ring groove of a cylinder wall.</p> |
