The closed circuit has two parallel straight runs with a semi-circular run at each end. It is used for multi-post machining or assembly, and uses a double parallel beam substructure. The two beams are parallel to, and straddle, the longitudinal axis of the circuit, and locate adjustable fixed post frames at longitudinal intervals. Each frame constitutes a floor mounted on a beam, with columns extending from the floor to support a ceiling. Slides, together with jacks, are mounted on the external columns, the internal columns being cased, to house electrical or pneumatic control circuits. Each post uses two coupled jacks and has an intermediate floor for the attachment of horizontal service ducts. A horizontal partition separates the upper and lower areas of the machine.
