Cytotoxic prod. is prepd. by forming a covalent disulphide bridge between a cytotoxic cpd., the A chain of ricin, and antibody, and immunoglobulin or a specific immunoglobulin fraction of a given antigen, according to the parent patent. The A chain of ricin is purified by chromatography to give a crystalline prod. Cytotoxic prods. as described in the parent patent but in which the antibody is either fragment F (ab)'2 of anti-DNP antibody, or it is IgM anti-Thy 1.2 are also new. This is an addn. to FR 7827838. The purified chain A is free from non-specific toxicity to the cell system or animal organism and so the specificity of the prod. is solely that of the antibody used.
