<p>The flushing mechanism (1) for a water tank (2) is connected to an actuating handle (38) and is made up of a floating element (24) disposed in an immovable basin (12) which communicates through at least one orifice with the tank allowing draining or refilling of the basin in correspondence with the level in the tank. The floating element (24) is pref. an open-ended, vertically movable tube which carries a washer at its lower end which controls the outlet (4) of the tank. The element may also act as an overflow pipe.</p> |
