<p>The process is intended for cleaning industrial silos for both solids and liquids. It consists of moving a mutually aligned radiation source and receiver along both sides of the silo wall. The output signal of the receiver, corresp. to the fluctuationg radiation-transmission through the sediment, or scale, laden wall, is evaluated as a sedimentation etc. rate. The appts. used in this process consists of a radiation source (15) and a suitable receiver (12) which converts the received radiation into an electric signal. Both the source and receiver are movably arranged on both sides of the examined wall (3), being driven along synchronously. The receiver output signal is supplied to a display (35). Pref. the receiver output can be switched to influence the source and receiver drive (21).</p> |
