<p>The rule of thickners which increases along its length allows the gap of a motor vehicle spark plug to be adjusted. The rule has a thickness which varies from a min. to a max. along its length and is made of hard metal. To adjust a gap, it is slid by force into the gap to open it. The required gap is obtd. by sliding it until the required graduation mark is reached. A circular rule is formed by a cylindrical assembly whose walls vary in thickness as required. A base ensures the rigidity of this assembly.</p> |
