<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the fuel gas used prior to the denitration by passing at least a portion of the exhaust gas of the sintering furnace through a catalyst layer to oxidize CO in the exchaust gas of the sintering furnace and sending the oxidation heat at this time to a denitrating machine. CONSTITUTION:A portion of the exhaust gas 1 is entered into a heating furnace 4 through a flow control valve 15 for the exhaust gas and heated to about 400 deg.C. Subsequently, the heated exhaust gas is entered into a catalyst layer 14 and, herein, CO in the exhaust gas is subjected to the contact oxidation. The exhaust gas is heated to about 500 deg.C by this oxidation heat and, thereafter, is mixed with the residual exhaust gas 1 through an exhaust gas flow control valve 15' and the obtained exhaust gas with a temp. of 380-450 deg.C is introduced into the denitrating machine 5. A high temp. exhaust gas after denitration is sent to a heat exchanger 2 and, after heat exchanged with the exhaust gas 1 sent to the heating furnace 4, the low temp. exhaust gas is discharged to the atmosphere from a chimney 6.</p> |
