The trolley (2) is made up of an open rectangular box (10) attached to metal profiles (6,7) the spacing of the vertical profiles being greater than the ladder width. The trolley has top and bottom roller wheels (8,9) mounted on axis (17) and has a bracket (11) for a cable attachment to a ground level winch. When all four trolley wheels are on the ladder outside, the trolley rides on the outside and can service building roofs. When the trolley is reversed with top wheels outside and service the inside of buildings.
