The fitment for determining the morphological mass of the head, especially with the aim of designing helmets, for example, for pilots, consists of a rigid case (2). At least one insertion piece is placed between the case (2) and the head (1), at the forehead and neck, so that a space (41) is left between the head (1) and the case (2). The case (2) has measurement devices (7) at right angles to it, to record the movement. The two inner sides of the case (2) each have a receptacle (10) with a cavity (8) facing inwards. The cavity (8) can be moved at right angles to the surface of the case, and has moulded parts (10,11) around it, for the ear (9).
