摘要 <p>The excavator is carried on 'U' section beams in the form of a tuning form with a bucket wheel working between the arms of the fork. Each side arm has a wheel which can pivot about its own centre, on a common axis which is fixed and set across the arm. Soil is dumped towards the wheel centre and is then carried away by conveyors. The three wheels are at the apices of an isosceles triangle and have individual angular displacement and speed sensors. The orientation angle of the two pivoting motors is always maintained equal and opposite. The sensor signals are processed to provide speed control signals to the fixed angle wheel.</p>
