<p>A fabric cutter, e.g. for cutting velvet from a double fabric, has a cutter blade extending across the whole fabric. The cutter mounting may move along the direction of advancement of the fabric and also across the fabric width. The cutter provides a slow movement in two directions and is slow to overheat at high speed. A simple, light device, it offers a precise, rigidly controlled cut in one geometrical plane, and the cut is effected at equal distance from the two fabric layers.</p> |
